What should each camper bring?
Caps – writing the camper’s first name on the cap in block letters helps the coaches get to know the campers faster – THIS IS OPTION, NOT REQUIRED.
Plenty of towels
Fan (for dorm use)
Snacks & Drinks
Linens, blanket and pillows (sleeping bag works great as well)
Water bottle (please make sure it’s identifiable to the camper)
Plenty of comfortable shorts, socks, t-shirts, etc.
Rain Jacket (if weather permits).
DO NOT BRING TRAINING EQUIPMENT (kickboard, fins, etc.) – these items should be left at home.

What is the age range for camp?
Ages 8-18 are welcome during our 2 sessions of camp for 2018. Each swimming should be (at minimum) able to swim one length (any stroke) of a 25 yard pool without stopping.
Check In & Registration
Check in for camp will begin at 2pm located at the Cutten Complex common area (follow the signs).
Check Out & Airport Departures
Check out after the camp test set will take place at the housing location, Cutten Complex. Key deposits will be returned at this time – given that there is no room damage or lost key to replace.
Most meals will be held at Curtiss E Frank Dining Hall on Colgate Campus. Some provided meals will be catered by local vendors. Please notify the camp director of any known allergies.
Forms & Documents

All campers must have the following forms completed prior to the start of camp:
Transportation form should ONLY be completed if traveling by air.
We ask that all Parents/Guardians/Campers park at Lineberry Natatorium. If there is no available parking please park across Broad Street in the Reid Athletic Parking Lot.
Parking at 113 Broad Street Complex will be restricted only to Camp Check In & Check Out.
Who makes up the staff?
Colgate University Head Coach Andy Waeger along with Assistant Coach Sarah Bisello. In addition to our main staff we will also have Colgate student athletes.
Colgate Swim Camp boasts no less than a 1:10 coach to camper ratio to ensure the best possible instruction and experience for all involved!
What about Medications or Pre-Existing Injuries?
All Medications will be reviewed during check in and confirmed on the Medication Form required prior to check in. This will ensure proper administration during the course of camp.
Please bring any Pre-Existing injuries to the attention of our Head Coach or Camp Director ASAP. Any pre-existing injury will be accommodated to the best of our ability and recommendation from on-site medical staff.
Can Parents Watch Swim Sessions?
Parents are invited to all swim sessions but will be limited to watching from the provided bleachers only.
Commuter Camper Drop off & Pick up
Commuter Camp Drop Off & Pick Up will be located in the Lineberry Parking lot by the Natatorium Entrance Double Doors. A staff member from camp will be there to greet and check in and out each camper daily to the designated party. Please note the names listed on the registration sheet (ex. Parent or guardian name) will be the ONLY parties allowed to pick up your child unless requested by the responsible party in writing. Camp staff reserves the right to ask for identification during any and all pick up and drop off times – this is for the safety of our campers, we appreciate your co-operation in advance.
Please arrive no later than 4:00pm & pickup should be promptly at 7:45pm.
Lunch and Dinner will be provided, however breakfast is not, please ensure your camper(s) is properly fueled for the morning training session.
Campers are encouraged to pack snacks & water bottle each day.
Can a camper RENT linens?
No, campers are responsible for their own linens unless flying to camp.
Can a camper have a car on campus?
Yes - under the following circumstances:
Notification via email prior to the start of camp.
Car will be parked at Lineberry Natatorium and all keys turned in at Check In to the Camp Director. Keys will be picked up at the end of camp at Check Out. The only time keys will be distributed is if a camp staff member speaks directly to responsible parties (per registration – parent/guardian) and permission is given to leave campus for emergency only or to depart camp.
DAY CAMPER: upon drop off each day you will hand keys to staff member when checking in and will get keys returned to you upon drop off each day.
A $100 key deposit is required a check in. It will be returned at check out when the key is returned and room checked for damage.
We divide campers into groups based on age and ability. Daily schedule may vary slightly based on our camp groups.
We will have a camp store at check in and check out. There you will have the ability to purchase various Colgate Swimming apparel and gear as well as snacks and drinks for the week of camp.
